Hi I'm Brian

I'm a Detroit native. I'm a car nut and computer enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the Motor City, then moved to a farm town in Utah for my teenage years. Now I'm in the South working full-time as a software developer while pursuing a Masters degree part-time. I'm a major car fan and love attending car shows, racing events, and watching Pinks All Out. Being a Detroit native, I greatly enjoy watching the genteel sport of hockey. When I'm not traveling for work or struggling to meet deadlines at school, I spend as much time as possible with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been one all my life. During my mid-teen years, I discovered for myself the truthfulness and power that comes from living the principles that Jesus teaches. Instead of rebelling against the teachings of my parents, I realized that life was simply better when I lived as Christ would have me do. Since then, my faith in this concept has been reaffirmed many times. Why am I a Mormon? I put Christ's teachings to the test. I tried living them, and I was blessed for doing so. Many of the opportunities I've had are results of having lived by the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

While I'm far from perfect, I do my best to avoid things that aren't in line with the teachings of Christ. My faith is expressed in subtle ways. I avoid cursing...even when I'd really like to! I don't use alcohol or tobacco. I try to strictly obey the teachings of Christ without being pious. I want to please Him in the way that I live my life.
