Hi I'm Amber

I'm a Mormon. I'm a single mom. I'm a piano teacher.

About Me

I am a single mom. I've been divorced for almost 6 years now. I have one son. I'm currently working as a piano teacher, and have dabbled in being a disc jockey for dances and parties. I have been to college, but have not yet graduated with a degree. I love music and can do just about anything with music. Some of my hobbies include reading, playing the piano, playing with my son, and I've been trying to get into quilting and jogging lately, as well as gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church as a baby. My grandparents on both my mom and dad's side both found the church through missionaries. It's been a few generations in the church. My parents had always taught us the teachings of the church growing up, so I never questioned if it was true or not. I just believed my parents. I got married in the temple, and then a few years later, was divorced. It was then that I questioned my faith and whether or not it was all true. I went through some dark times in my life, but through the light of the gospel I was able to keep my testimony alive. The gospel of Jesus Christ has illuminated my soul, and my savior has touched me with his goodness and mercy. I cannot deny the spirit that has come into my life through being a member of His true church. I love the gospel. It has brought me so much closer to my Heavenly Father and I love getting to know my savior through this church. I love my savior!

How I live my faith

Living as a member of this church, this faith, I have been blessed to be able to serve so many people on so many levels. I have been asked to be a teacher in the church, and it has helped me to become who I am today. I have learned to teach adults and children as well. I'll be honest, I have so much fun teaching the children! I am also an organizer of single adult activities. We meet together and have activities once a month or so. We have dances and dinners and so much more! Working with single adults has also taught me to serve others who may not be as fortunate as I am. I also have participated as a mentor in my community. I have gone to local schools and befriended young women who are needing that extra support and love shown to them by adults. I enjoy working with young people. I also have the talent of playing the piano. I have also been able to serve the people of this church by playing the organ during church services as well as provide piano for the church choir. Music provides such an atmosphere of love and worship, and I feel so grateful to be able to have this talent to help others.
