Hi I'm Pat

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a big family and enjoy doing things with them. We do alot of things - mostly outdoor adventures. Salmon fishing, sturgeon fishing, and hunting are a few of the big things we do. Living on the Columbia River is a big part of our fun. Boating, water tubing, camping on the islands, etc. We keep alot of the stories on our blog. This year we fished for Tuna for the first time, and had a great pheasant hunt.

Why I am a Mormon

The simple answer is that I've read the Book of Mormon several times, and as I read and pray, the Spirit has witnessed to me that it is true. This witness comes strong and clear. It took a while, so I had to keep at it, but an answer did come. The Book of Mormon has taught me more of the Savior, and helped me better understand the Bible, too. The purpose of any religion is to answer the big questions - where did I come from, and why am I hear on the earth. I have found the answers to these and other questions in my membership in this church. As I learn, the Spirit confirms what I learn. This church has taught me more about the Savior Jesus Christ than any other I've attended or studied with.

How I live my faith

Anyone actively involved in our church knows how busy it can be - with activities for the kids, and callings to serve others. With most of our kids in the public schools, we also try to keep involved with what goes on in the community, and to be positive and helpful. I think it is natural as we learn more about the Savior and our purposes in life, our faith becomes integral to how we live and how people see us.
