Hi I'm Jeff

Father of Four. Own my own business. Love riding Motorcycles. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in SLC, Ut. but raised in Idaho. Always loved riding motorcycles even before I was legal to drive them. Bought my first Harley Davidson in 2002 and my second in 2008. I am a member of the local HOG chapter and enjoy riding with them from time to time. I married my sweet wife in the Salt Lake City temple in December of 1992 and we have 4 children. I graduated from BYU in 1991 in Industrial Design but have been in Construction since 1986 and I own 2 construction related businesses. My wife teaches Advanced Business writing at BYU.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the LDS church and raised in the church. I served a mission in the England, Leeds mission from 1983-1985. While serving and teaching I gained my testimony of the church by realizing how many blessings I and my family had received by living the church teachings and seeing how living gospel principles changed peoples lives for the better. I continue to see these blessings as I raise my children in the gospel and it helps keep them from the pain and suffering that sin would have in store for them.

How I live my faith

By no means am I perfect or even close. I have learned that this life is an opportunity to learn, grow, receive challenges, overcome obstacles and trials and learn and grow more in the process. I have had opportunities to work with all ages of children and teach the gospel to them. I have worked with the young men as well as the older men in different callings I have had come my way. I learn to love through service to them. Even though I have been a member all my life, it still takes a conscience effort to do the right things on a consistent basis. I don't get faced with really hard decisions because I have made right decisions throughout my life so I never strayed to far from the straight and narrow path, but every day I still have little choices between good, better and best. Life is made up of millions of choices, we try and make more of the good ones than the bad one, but even the bad ones teach us if we are smart enough to learn from them.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was the first prophet in these latter days. He was visited by God the Father and Jesus Christ and through him, Jesus Christ re-established his gospel, the same gospel that existed when Christ was on the earth. Because of the apostasy which happened when Christ and his apostles were taken from the earth, there needed to be a restoration. God chose Joseph Smith to be that person to bring about the restoration. He was a 14 year old boy who had, at the time, had no religious affiliation to any of the churches but was wanting to know which of the churches were true and was Christs church. He was told that Christs Church was not currently, in 1820, on the earth. We do not worship Joseph Smith but we revere him as a prophet and are grateful for his service and sacrifice to restore the church that blesses the whole earth. Show more Show less
