Hi I'm Steve

I am an Optometry student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student and just received a bachelor's degree in Biology and I am now attending optometry school. I have been married to my best friend for three years now and we are absolutely loving life. We were sealed in the Manti Utah Temple for time and all eternity and we have never been happier. We enjoy going to our ward and associating with all of the people who also have strong testimonies and a love of Jesus Christ. I enjoy spending time with both of our families. Some of my hobbies include biking, running, hunting, shooting guns, camping, and anything else outdoors. I also enjoy being on the computer and sitting down to watch a good movie, or just having a good laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is because it gives me a real reason to look forward to each new day. It gives me hope to know that I have something to look forward to each day by living a Christlike life. I can look forward to living with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and our eternal family. Every time I serve and try to uplift others just as Christ did, I forget about my own problems, worries, and stresses that would otherwise bring me down. The gospel helps me to become selfless.

How I live my faith

I love attending church each Sunday to partake of the emblems of the sacrament. I look forward to seeing the familiar faces of our ward. I love to sit down each morning and open the scriptures; both the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon. There is so much for us to learn if we will just sit and read the Word of God. A responsibility I really enjoy doing with the other men in the ward is to go home teaching; by going out to visit families and getting to know them on a more personal level. It gives me the opportunity to help in so many ways and to make me feel needed in helping just a few of Heavenly Father's children on the path, just as I am trying each day to stay on the path of righteousness. As I get to know more people and visit them in their homes I realize more and more each day that we are all just doing the same thing trying to live more like Christ. It helps me to know that even though we all sin, we can repent and get back on the right track. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and strive to be an example of Him every day.
