Hi I'm Dani

I am a geographer, a percussionist and a quilter. I am a very amateur kayaker and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter, a sister and an aunt of five perfectly crazy nieces and nephews. I love maps and get excited when they help people tell better stories and make better decisions. When I have spare time I love to be outside, weather it is kayaking, camping, snow shoeing, working in the yard. If I am active and outside I generally have a smile on my face. I also love playing music and just being creative, especially while quilting.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love being happy. I have found that the more I live the teachings the happier I am and the closer to the Savior I feel. There is a deep peace that comes in the mist of this happiness that tells me this is right, that this is what Heavenly Father has put on the earth to help his children find joy and be able to return to live with him again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be as much like the savior as I can. To me this means making sure that I truly love those around me, that I am loyal, that I work hard, and that I am striving to be the best me that I can be. This could mean reaching out to youth, visiting the elderly, or having an ear or shoulder for a friend who needs it. It means calling my grandma, reading a story to my niece and giving cookies to my neighbors. It also means being a good employee, smiling at the person who looks down at the grocery store and being a positive part of my community. For me living my faith means learning as much about Jesus Christ and his gospel as I can and then doing what he has asked and following his example. I feel that I can do this best by sharing his love to all I can.
