Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Ohio. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up the oldest of 3 boys. I went to high school in central Ohio. Following high school, I served a two-year mission for the church to Brazil - I loved being a missionary!! After I returned, I met my beautiful wife, and we fell madly in love. I graduated with my bachelors and masters degree from college. We have six wonderful children. I love to read and spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe this is the true church of Jesus Christ, containing the fullness of His gospel. I want to follow the Savior's example. I'm a Mormon because I love my family more than anything else in this world, and only within God's temple can I be sealed to my loved ones forever, not just "until death do us part". I'm a Mormon because I find incredible joy in living the principles that are found within the church. I know this joy will extend, and deepen, as I move through this mortal life, and into the eternities. I'm a Mormon because of the great comfort that comes from knowing where I came from, why I'm here, and where I'm going after death.

How I live my faith

My faith is most evident, I hope, within the walls of my own home. A great church leader once said, "True greatness is found only in the home". I believe that. Doing the "little things" consistently is how I best live my faith - those little things include prayer, scripture study, service, and family fun!! I love serving in the church, and in the community. My calling in the church is to serve and love those within the boundaries of our congregation. I do this with help from the most amazing men and women you will ever meet - they help, and bless, and help, and bless (and help) those in need with little, to no, fanfare. Serving with them is a great privilege. Each month I visit a handful a families to make sure they are okay, both temporally and spiritually. I leave a message with them that I hope brings them joy and comfort. One of the best parts of my calling within the church is I get to work with the youth. The youth of our church are the most incredible young people I've ever encountered. They are vibrant, intelligent, and faithful. Again, it is a great privilege to associate with them.
