Hi I'm Bethany

I'm a student, a French teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from North Carolina, and I'm currently working on my master's degree in Second Language Teaching. I love being in the classroom and sharing my enthusiasm for French with my students. I also love traveling, cooking, reading and watching movies. And I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church by my wonderful parents, and I always felt safety and peace in my home growing up. I knew from watching my parents that the source of their happiness was the gospel of Jesus Christ. It wasn't until I got to college that I realized that no one was forcing me to go to church every Sunday or to fulfill the responsibilities I had been given, but I was still going. I knew then that I knew for myself that this Church is true. Only the gospel of Jesus Christ provides answers and direction for life and it is only through living Christ's teachings and following His example that we find joy and peace.

How I live my faith

My faith is a part of my everyday life. I try to make sure that my small actions each day reflect what I claim to believe. One of my favorite ways that I serve is through Visiting Teaching. Each sister in our women's organization is assigned to watch over and care for several other sisters in the group. Developing friendships with these wonderful women always blesses me and makes me happier!
