Hi I'm Vince

I live in Washington State. I love hiking, fishing, foraging for mushrooms and fixing submarines. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a beautiful and loving wife and have three wonderful children. I have been in Washington for over fifteen years. My family and I love to hike, camp, and explore the Pacific Northwest.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church. Growing up, I was introduced to the church by my friends who were all church members. They and their families kept me out of trouble and took me in whenever I was around. When I was in high school, a good friend gave me the Book of Mormon. I had discussions from the missionaries but at that time I wasn't ready for a change of religions. I later joined the Navy and found I wasn't happy. I decided to go to church, and since the Mormon church was the last one I had been to, I made a call to the bishop. The members in the area were so nice and generous. I had the missionary discussions again, but this time I listened and prayed about it. I continued to drag my feet because I was afraid of distancing my family by the decision to get baptized. Later, one of the sisters in the ward bore a testimony about the truthfulness of the gospel and how it was time for me to accept what I knew was true. I did accept, and was baptized. I can look back now at all the experiences I had had, and see that I was being prepared to accept this wonderful gift from my Heavenly Father. I have found the happiness that I was looking for.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best as a husband and father. I go out of my way to be nice to people. I do what I can to help those people who don't get noticed for all the hard work they do. I love to share the knowledge of the gospel with others.

What is the Book of Mormon?

It is a record, like the bible, that testifies of Jesus Christ as the first begotten Son of God and his atonement for our sins. Show more Show less
