Hi I'm Joe

I'm writing my first novel while finishing my bachelor's degree, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 25 years old. I love movies, music, literature, and creativity. My favorite kind of entertainment is fantasy because it is creation. The idea of designing a world all my own is wonderful. I'm married to a wonderful woman for over 4 years. We love every minute we have together. I'm studying international relations in school. I'm currently trying my hand at writing, working on my first novel. It's a fun fantasy novel. I'm interested in basically every subject known to man, and love to learn new things, and meet new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it is one of the happiest lifestyles ever. The gospel of Christ leads me to be more ambitious, more loving, and more hopeful than anything. The Saviors teachings are there to make us happy, and help us have better lives full of love and service. As I've worked and served as a member of the Church, I've found myself getting happier and happier. I also love the work that can be done to help our ancesters as well. They are wonderful people who helped us arrive in the world we are in now, and it is a great blessing to be able to serve them and help them find their way home too.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through love and service. A smile, a wave, a short conversation checking on the person's life. I work with the members of my student congregation, helping them learn about geneology and temples. I also help newly-wed couples learn about each others families and grow closer together. I love teaching people about the Lord's plan of happiness and how we can become happier in our lives, our families and our marriages.

How does the Church finance its operations?

The church is financed through the law of tithing, similar to ancient times. Tithing is when members of the church donate 10% of their earnings to the church. It allows the church to build buildings, print scriptures, fund missionary work, and provide much needed welfare and such. Tithing is a great blessing to the members as well. As we pay tithing, the Lord blesses us substantially. Show more Show less

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

The Savior, Jesus Christ, founded this church through the prophet Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith was called by the Savior to establish this church in the early 1800's. He was a wonderful young man who recieved revelations about how the church should run, what doctrines Christ would teach, and many other things. He was truely a prophet of the Lord, just like Moses or Abraham. I am very grateful to the Lord for his having given us a prophets in this day and age. Show more Show less
