Hi I'm Susanne George

I am a Grandmother and a Alpaca Rancher

About Me

I am now an empty nester. I have 7 grandchildren that my husband and I adore. We took on a new hobbie of raising Alpaca's. They are the best! Working with these animals has brought gratitude and learning experiences that I have helped me to grow in ways I never thought possible. The best is being able to learn all of this with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I live in an area where Mormons are relatively few and most members are converts. I am a 5th generation Mormon and feel such a responsibility to keep that heritage going. I feel such strength from my ancestors and I would hope I give strength to those new in the faith. We are all pioneers in some sense of the word. We all need to rely on one another.

How I live my faith

I've learned that the best way to live my faith is by example. Just by being me. I strive to serve those of my faith and those who are not. That is how the Savior taught us. I've come to have many cherished friends that are of other faiths and they accept who I am.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Susanne George
I have been married for almost 34 years. It has not always been easy but this I know, that as each of us had faith in God and strived to strengthen that faith, together we were strengthened through difficult challenges. From the very beginning we committed to each other and committed to grow in our knowledge of the Savior. I think one of the most difficult times for us was when my husband was sent overseas while serving in the National Guard. We had just moved to a new area and had plans for the family that didn't include active service in the military. It rather took us by surprise. The week my husband left was bittersweet as I also sent my oldest son off on a mission. Even though miles separated us our commitment to one another and our faith had never been so strong. I attended the temple frequently and studied my scriptures and stayed diligent in my prayers. My husband did all he could do in his circumstances to stay close and committed to his faith. We both felt lifted as we forged through this challenging time. I know our faith in Christ and our commitment to each other and our willingness to stay true to our covenants brings blessings to our lives and to our family. Our children, now grown and married see that commitment and faith and they carry that into their families. Show more Show less
