Hi I'm Tyler

Born and raised in Oregon. I love life and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in west Oregon. I am a doer. I cannot sit for very long before I get the urge to get up and do something. Some of those things that I get the urge to do are reading, hunting, hiking, camping, working, and the list goes on. I wish that there was more time in the day to do all that I could but I guess that is something I just have to struggle with. I have been a member of the Church my entire life. I know that this church is Christ's church restored on the earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints is the Lords Kingdom on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that we have a living prophet to lead us and guide us in the world today. I am a Mormon because I have recieved a testimony of these things. I am a Mormon because I have recieved the Holy Ghost and feel his presence in everything that I do. He has given me the testimony of this Gospel and of the Lords holy work. Because I have not only belived in God but also lived His Law I have recived hope, and through this hope I have recieved happiness. I know that I will still have difficult moments thoughout this life, maybe moments of sadness as well. But I know that Christ is the Lord and that through him all is possible. He has paid for all those difficult moments and that we can all forget the past and through him see a bright and glorious future. God Loves us. His son Jesus Christ, our brother loves us. I know that everyone that wants to know this for themselves can find a testimony through the feelings of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I just try my best. Life can throw it's curveballs but I just continue to try my best. Iright now I am at school with my wife trying to be the best husband I can be, while at the same time trying to help those around me and help The Lord in this great work.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Tyler
As priesthood holders we share a sacred duty to serve a full time mission. Throughout all of time the Lord has taught his people to teach his Gospel to all nations, taughs and people. It is really a great honor and blessing to serve the Lord in this great labor. Really there is nothing more inportant for a young man then for him to serve a mission. It is a priesthood obligation and a commandment from God, not from man. This is not only for the men though. Women as well are also invited to serve in the work of the Lord. While it is not a priesthood obligation for them it is still encouraged that they do so if they have no other obligations. Show more Show less
