Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I am the 4th of 8 children in my family--10 people total. I love playing basketball and volleyball, and enjoy music. I just got back from a full-time mission to Japan right before Christmas 2010 and am a full-time student at college. I plan on going into the Accounting field and am loving the college experience.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned stories from the bible and Book of Mormon since I was young and went to church weekly with my family. My parents had a positive influence on me; I looked up to them and wanted to be like them. Even though I was born into and amazing family with high morals, I knew I needed to know for myself if this church was true, or if it wasn't true. When I was 14 years old, I attended a week long youth camp called EFY. One night, we had a special fireside with music and powerful testimonies of peers and leaders about the church and their personal conversion. As I listened, a strong feeling came over me-- I found myself bawling with an overwhelming gratitude and conviction that I knew. I knew that this church was true. I knew that what my parents taught me from a young age wasn't just some nice teachings- but in fact the restored gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. I later prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true and received that same conviction. I know that this gospel is the best way to come closer to Christ. In Japan I witnessed countless times people's lives change through applying this gospel from misery to joy, from hopelessness to faith, from heartache to ease. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I strive to reach out to those who need a helping hand, and often visit others and share short messages of what we believe to encourage and help out.
