Hi I'm Eli

I'm a husband, a grad student, a Utah football fan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho. Served a mission in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, Canada. Graduated from the University of Utah and will soon graduate with my Masters Degree from the University of Georgia. I'm a husband, a political nerd, a tech junkie, and a huge football fan. I love to spend time with family and friends, travel, and go to sporting events. I love music and enjoy playing video games with my buddies. I hope to some day work for the federal government and make a positive impact on my country.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I absolutely believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's church in this final dispensation. I know that the Book of Mormon is scripture and, consequently, I know that Joseph Smith was the Lord's prophet who restored Christ's church. Subsequently, the Lord's Priesthood Authority has been held by all of the prophets since Joseph Smith. Today, Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's prophet and the only person on the Earth who holds all of the authority to act for God. I know these things are true because I have studied the scriptures, prayed, fasted, and repented. The Holy Spirit has testified to me that these things are true.

How I live my faith

My faith affects every way that I live my life. My whole perspective is different because of the things I know, and I try to share this precious knowledge with others. In my ward, I help in the nursery. My wife and I take care of the kids who are eighteen months to three years old during the second and third hours of church. I love spending time with little kids because they are so much closer to God than any of us poor adults. Their sweet spirits continually strengthen my testimony.
