Hi I'm Abe Talakai

Life is good! I have a lovely wife. I'm from California. I have a great family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been happily married for 5 yrs. I am a Union Electrician. I enjoy hard work. Through the things I have learned in this trade I have been able to help family and friends. I enjoy playing chess because it makes you think. I like working out. I enjoy the simple things of life.

Why I am a Mormon

As a kid, I went to church and couldn't wait to get out. When I was 11 years old, I paid attention in Sunday school and applied what I learned the next day at school. I felt good. I felt that there was a God and that He did send His Son Jesus Christ to earth for me. I have strived to live what I have been taught. I have learned through study, prayer, and personal experience that the things I've learned in church are true. At times I wanted to follow the crowd as a youth, but am so grateful that Heavenly Father blessed me with the courage to just be me. I have seen miracles in my life. I have had many weaknesses strengthened in this great gospel. The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives me hope. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to follow my Savior's footsteps. I live my faith by fulfilling my responsibilities at church. I strive to be a little better each day.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Abe Talakai
Family is so important because we believe and know that, "the greatest work is within the four walls of our home." And also, "No success can ever compensate for the failure in the home." The little simple things that I have learned are from home. I have learned how to iron, do laundry, and cook from my mother. I have learned to be loving and caring from my father. My dad would say, "an educated child not taught at home is uneducated." Its the lessons at home that helped mold me into who I am today. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Abe Talakai
