Hi I'm Anne

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a new lawyer, beginning a career as a solo practitioner. I am married to a wonderful, loving man and our family is rounded out by a sweet, cuddly puppy, and two very productive egg-laying hens. I love to read and write, laugh, cook, be cooked for and dabble in painting and singing on the side!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of Church members and grew up in the Church. It wasn't until I was college age and moved far away from my family that I really had to think about whether or not I wanted to continue living my life as a member of the Church. I prayed to know if the Church was true, if it mattered whether or not I was a member. I felt the spirit send joy into my heart as I learned for the first time that I personally had an important role to play in his gospel and that my decision to increase my church activity and become a faithful member would change my life for the better, and have an impact on the generations that would follow me. I know that I made the right choice when I decided that from then on, I would be a Mormon, not for my parents, or friends, but for myself, because I loved God.

How I live my faith

Life isn't easy, but my faith helps me remember that generally all of us are trying to do the best we can. In the Church, I have the great privilege of being a ward missionary. This means I go with the missionaries to visit people who are interested in the Church, to help answer their questions and make them feel confident in their decision to investigate further. I love to talk about the gospel with my friends, whether or not they are members of the Church. I love to hear different perspectives and I want everyone to know that my friendship is not contingent on their interest in the gospel.
