Hi I'm Brandt

I am a podiatrist, a husband, a father of 11 children, a scoutmaster, a runner, a soccer coach and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest of 6 children and grew up in Utah. I have lived in Utah, New Jersey, Idaho, Florida and Washington during my life. I grew up playing basketball, soccer and loved to run, while also learning to play the violin, piano and french horn. My greatest interest in music is singing, especially songs that help me feel good. I attended schools in Idaho and Utah before becoming a podiatrist while studying in Florida. I am a podiatrist and take great pleasure in keeping people active. I like to run, play and coach soccer and watch lacrosse. I take great joy in working with the Boy Scouts in our area, and have been involved in scouting for many years, including earning my Eagle Scout at age 12. I feel that these boys are our future and deserve experiences that will make them better people, better husbands and greater men. I am constantly amazed at the great youth I work with today. My greatest joy comes from my marriage to an amazing woman. Together we enjoy the great privilege of having 11 children (8 girls and 3 boys) and are finding great joy in each age as we learn together with a wide range of ages.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I know that God lives and that He sent His Son, even Jesus Christ to teach us, show us an example and die for us. I know that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and that He lives. The great learning and understanding that comes through the gospel of Jesus Christ and my membership in His church adds daily joy and happiness to my life. I love hearing the words of a living prophet in our day. I love praying to a God that I can relate to and feel His love and comfort in my life. I have read the Bible and The Book of Mormon and enjoy to learn more of my Savior through their pages. But one of the biggest reasons I enjoy being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the ability to have my family not just in this life, but in the life to come. I love my wife and my 11 children so much and can't imagine not having them with me for eternity.

How I live my faith

I love to help and serve others and have a great opportunity to do this through my profession as a podiatrist, my opportunity to work with youth, especially as Scoutmaster for many years. I love scouting and take pride in teaching these young men what I consider important life lessons, including serving others, first aid, experiencing and enjoying God's nature, and how to do hard things. Since this life is full of trials and difficulties, strengthening young men at the age of 12 and 13 is key to their success throughout life. I commonly work with other youth through teaching and coaching opportunities and enjoy working with soccer goalies to help them be the best they can be.
