Hi I'm Jackie

I'M A MORMON! :

About Me

I am a stay at home mother of 3 little children. Being a mom is a TON of work...who gets to argue with a 4 year old every day and loose? Moms. :) But it is also a wonderful blessing to be able to be home each day and to watch my children grow. Pretty much all my hobbies are centered around my family. I love to be with them, travel with them, and do things with them. I have been married for over 9 years now and my husband is really my best friend. All my siblings live close so we have a lot of fun family get togethers. I have fears like everyone else, I get disapointed in myself like everyone else, there are days I wonder "what on earth!!!?!!", and I know there is a lot more I can do to serve others. BUT I do know that we are put on this earth to learn. I know Heavenly Father loves me and he laughs with me and he crys with me and he knows that I'm feeling. So I take each day head on and live it with everything I have. It's amazing to see how blessed we truly are and how much our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to conquer everything put in our path. Life is Beautiful. We just need to remember to take time to stop and see it's beauty.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I truly think I would be lost with out my beliefs. I have wondeful scriptures to turn to for answers and knowledge. I have the Holy Spirit to help me make decisions and to testify to me the truthfulness of this gospel. I have the opportunity to serve in various positions that help me see the talents that would have been hiden in myself and to be able to be surrounded with a wonderful community of church members who are just like family. I don't have any great conversion story or any huge, life changing story about how all the sudden my life changed while being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. But I do know that my life is better because of the Church. It's a daily progression for me. Each day I am more amazed at the power I feel from reading the Book of Mormon. Each day I am more amazed and the power of prayer and that Heavenly Father does hear me and answer me. Each day my Faith is increased and I truly, really, absolutely know that everything I've been taught is true. We really do have a prophet who guides our church and the things he says comes from above. He is a sweet, dear man and I know the relationship he has with his Heavenly Father is a sacred yet jovial one! :) If you are searching for something....A place to belong, to feel loved, to be found, to feel secure- this is the place where your journey will end. Sure, life will still be full of trials and insecurities at times, but if you continue to stay close to Heavenly Father and have Faith in his plan then you will make it. You will have the strength to overcome anything- even though you may not feel like it at times. He is there for us always and will never let us fall as long as we are reaching for him. I am a Mormon because it fits. Perfectly. And it always will.

How I live my faith

How I live my life is how I live my faith. Everything I do is because of what I believe. I try to be an example to my children and to teach them how to make good choices, to be good people in the world and to love others. I try to serve those around me and to aware of their needs. It's easy to find opportunities to serve and to let you children see the joy it brings to others. It makes me happy, them happy, and is a great thing for young people to see.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Jackie
As Mormons, we don't worhip anything.:) Joseph Smith is an amazing man who went through so much so we could have this gospel restored to the earth. We love him, we praise all that he did, and we are grateful for all the sacrifices he and his family made for everyone who enters the waters of baptism. Show more Show less
