Hi I'm Terry L. Orr

I'm a forensic accountant, a husband, father and grandfather with a passion for cycling and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a town of 5 in Wyoming. Went to a two-room school house from grades 1-8, with one teacher teaching grades 1-4 and the other teaching grades 5-8. I served a church mission in Vienna, Austria. After returning from Austria I met and married my wife Cheryl and graduated from Brigham Young University in accounting. I spent 27 years as an auditor in public accounting and now am involved in providing forensic accounting services. I have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. My primary hobby is cycling, but I also like fly fishing, mountain climbing and golf.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the Holy Spirit also known as the Holy Ghost witnessed to me that Jesus Christ, through Joseph Smith, re-established his church on the earth with the same organization, principles and authority as the church he established in New Testament times. I continue to feel that witness of the Holy Spirit as I participate in Sunday meetings and other church activities.

How I live my faith

Since there is no paid ministry in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I've served in many different assignments in the church. I've also been a Boy Scout leader as well as on the boards of a number of not-for-profit organizations. My faith gives me purpose to my life and a sense of peace that I'm following a plan my Heavenly Father outlined for me through the teachings of his son Jesus Christ.
