Hi I'm Matt McEntire

I am a United States Marine, I love Spanish, I workout like crazy and love being fun and sporadic and I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a swimmer at heart, for about ten years I swam competitively. I love being in shape and running and working out. I am Currently in the United States Marine Corps , have been for three years. Love speaking spanish and hanging out with friends and family. My goals in life are to study Middle Eastern studies and arabic and become a United States Marine corps officer and have a family and stay faithful to my God and Liberty and constitution. Love life and think it is absolutely going wonderfully.

Why I am a Mormon

Being Mormon or a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is more then just a religion, it is a way of life. Being mormon is really all about how you live from day to day and the choices that you make within those days and your life. Being mormon for me has given me the opportunity to see right from wrong and understand the consequences that come from choosing either action. It has helped me with making difficult decsions like whether or not to join the military and how to cope with the difficulties of war and other immoral acts that abound among the military. I have realized through joining it, it has blessed my life but with many challenges, however with the help, love and mercy Jesus Christ has given to us I can get through anything. I love his church more than anything on this planet, i would give my life for it, I know it to be true, I know Jospeh Smith restored the gospel to this darkened world, He brought the light and truth to the world through the mediator Jesus christ, i know Christ lives and that he and Heavenly Father have a beautiful plan for us for the rest of eternity. I know that we can some day return to live with them in the glorious celestial kingdom if we strive for Christ like Attributes. I leave this testimony with you in the Name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

Being an example of the believers and living the principles that My God asks that I live. I live according to what brings me happiness. AS I do so, i bring greater happiness to those I love. In return , more joy comes to my life. Living according to the commandments of God bring an easier life to handle. There will be more problems and temptations but with god you can overcome all things. Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men. What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Matt McEntire
I love the doctrine of Grace. I think it is absolutely incredible this simple but yet complicated idea, that A man can save us from our sins but at the same he cannot. It depends upon our own ability to save ourselves, after all we can do, Christ our savior will save us. I have an example that I love so much that I read in a book called Believing Chris by Stephen E Robinson. It is a wonderful book, I encourage all to read it. It will help your understanding of Christ grow and how his saving ordinance can work in our lives. The example is a little girl who wants a bike. She asks her dad to go and buy her one, and her dad responds with the Daddish answer, honey you need to save up all your money and then we will go and buy you one ok? she responded with a exciting yes. She began to save all the money she could, when she thought she had enough she told her father who in turn took her to the store to buy the bike. As she picked out the bike she wanted she realized that it would cost $100.00. She seeing that got depressed and yelled ¨ I am never going to have enough money to buy my bike ¨. Her father seeing her distress tells her, ¨honey go ahead give me all the money that you have and all cover the rest ¨ his daughter only could hand over a small amount of 68 cents. Her father seeing that he would need to cover the rest of the amount for her to find happiness went ahead and bought the rest of the bike. now thinking in terms of Grace, we see we too must carry our own cross.
