Hi I'm Amanda

And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Well, my name is Amanda. I just earned my Associate's Degree from Snow College. I LOVED it there and had a blast. I especially loved my psychology classes. I love to learn about the way that people think and view the world. I am planning to go in the speech pathology field and would love to help give people more confidence in their speech. I also love to sing and play the piano and ukulele. I am serving as a missionary right now and I love it. Everyday I learn something new.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I have found that as I live the way Heavenly Father asked us to then I feel true happiness and joy. The peace that comes in this church is sweet and will help anyone to find more happiness in their life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith simply. Each day I try to do the little things like praying and studying scriptures. These small things really add up in my life. I try a little harder to be a little better and with Christ's help I can do it. As a missionary my main purpose is to help others to come unto Christ. I do this by teaching and serving them.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Of course! We read and love the Bible. We read it alongside the Book of Mormon. Together the Bible and the Book of Mormon teach us about Christ and help us to be better versions of ourselves. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

I really do! Just as God lead His people in biblical times with a prophet, He guides us through modern-day prophets. President Thomas S. Monson is God's prophet on the earth today. As I read and follow his words I feel peace that comes because I know he is teaching what God wants me and all people to know. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon was written by ancient prophets. It is a record of their interactions with God. Its purpose is to teach us about Jesus Christ. I love to read the testimony of the prophets in the Book of Mormon. Nephi wrote, "My God hath been my supprt; He hath led me through my afflictions in the wilderness." I am glad that we can read Nephi's testimony and the testimonies of other prophets in the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
