Hi I'm Julia

I'm a student. I'm single. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I LOVE Disneyland. I love music. I love the arts. I love gardening. I love my family. I love singing—it brings joy into my everyday life. I also love learning new things. This is why I will soon be starting a master's program to become a physician's assistant. Someday, I hope to become a mother and start my own family. There are so many other things I still want to do in my life. I want to study the stars, become an expert orchid grower, join a bell choir, and even be a bus driver! I love life :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. But I am still a Mormon because every time I have needed peace or comfort in my life, I have found it in the gospel of Jesus Christ. To me, the gospel of Jesus Christ means believing in Christ, being willing to change our behavior to be like Jesus Christ, and then making a commitment through baptism to follow Him for the rest of our lives. I believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior and our light and life in a world of darkness. I have a special belief that we are never alone and that because of Jesus Christ, we can be with those we love forever.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith daily, to make my faith a part of everything I do. I pray daily to our caring Father in Heaven. I know He listens and hears our prayers. I also love to read from the words of God. I do this daily, too. This helps remind me that I am never alone and that I should never stop trying to become a better person. I also go to church every Sunday. I believe that this is so important for me—and for our community. We should take a day weekly to remember our beautiful Savior and everything He's done for us.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Julia
The gift of the Holy Ghost is the step after baptism, and it is a gift and promise from our Heavenly Father that the Holy Ghost can be with us ALWAYS. Having this gift is invaluable. It is the "other Comforter" that Jesus Christ mentions in the New Testament (John 16:7). It is the presence of God that we feel in our lives in the absence of Jesus Christ himself. The Holy Ghost comforts us, guides us, and testifies of Christ. It helps us make important life decisions that are in harmony with the will of God. Everyone can feel the Holy Ghost; but the ability to have the Holy Ghost with us always is a gift given to us only after baptism. The gift of the Holy Ghost, in my life, is my guiding star in a world where I would otherwise feel lost. Show more Show less
