Hi I'm Raquel

I am from the Philippines but currently residing in Australia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom to a ten year old daughter. I'm doing a post-graduate degree and among my hobbies are playing the piano, reading and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the church but I gained a testimony of my own as I searched the scriptures and prayed about the truthfulness of the gospel especially when I went to BYU Hawaii and lived away from my family. There, I really worked on gaining my own testimony instead of just depending on my parents' testimony. I attended church regularly, listened to other people's testimonies, pondered on the scriptures diligently and relied on the Lord to help me understand the gospel and develop a personal witness. I know that God lives and Jesus is the Christ. Despite the many trials and struggles I've experienced in life, I hold fast to the gospel because I know it is true. My husband and I continue to teach our daughter about the gospel and do out best to show good examples to her. I know that families are eternal. I know that the Lord loves us and we are children of our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church through music. I play the organ for our church meeting and also conduct the hymns. I also enjoy my calling as a visiting teacher. My companion and I visit three women in the church whom we love and care for.
