Hi I'm Andy

I'm a Mormon. My name is Andy

About Me

I'm a typical southern California surfer... I work to support my surfing habit by teaching special education at a local high school. Although the hours are long (at surfing of course) I still do find time to be gainfully employed and able to support my family who I love dearly and who loves me in spite of my beachy ways. Church attendance, my callings and the temple all figure prominently in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I bear witness that it is the true church. I asked myself before I converted if the way I was pondering is true, and the answer was yes! I continue to follow the Prophet on this earth, this day, because I have felt the spirit, I have read the book of Mormon and testify that it is indeed another gospel of Jesus, and his ministry.

How I live my faith

I attend my church, pray for repentence, forgive without rancor or condition, and practice love.

Who are the Mormons?

The Mormons are your neighbors. People from all walks of life, ethnicities, political parties and nationalities are found in our church. No matter our temporal uniqueness, we are united in being a covanant people. The spiritual glue that joins us is more powerful than earthly constraints. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Mormons know that to spread the word of Jesus Christ, and bring others into the gospel is living life wisely: speaking softly, yet with the conviction of one who knows the truth is the way. These are all part of our purpose of life: purpose of our eternal life, to live with JOY as we seek perfection and salvation! Show more Show less
