Hi I'm Sharla

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have worked all my life, I was unable to have children of my own but share a Son and his family and a Daughter and her family with my husband. I enjoy walking in the mornings with my husband in the warm Arizona sun. I love dancing and going to movies. I especially enjoy reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always known the church is true. I was taught as a child that I had a Heavenly Father and an earthly family that loved me very much. I can not imagine my life without family. I have a testimony of Temples and the great truths and power that you can obtain there. I have been sealed in the Temple to my husband and know the great blessing that is in our lives. I have a testimony of the priesthood and of the Book of Mormon and know that we have a living Prophet today. I know we have a Savior who atoned for the sins of all man kind so that if we repent and are true and faithful we will be able to once again live with Him and our Heavenly Father. The Gospel is the greatest blessing I have.

How I live my faith

I was born and raised in the gospel. There were times when the world had a little more of my attention then I would have liked but I do know that these challenges help to strengthen us and make us who we are today. I have had many wonderful callings in our ward and stake and am grateful for all they have taught me. My Husband and I just finished serving our first mission. We were called to be the housing coordinators for the Arizona Mesa Mission, we served in that capacity for 2 years. In December of 2014 we put in our papers to serve a foreign mission and on February 9th, 2015 we have been called to serve in the Chile Santiago East Mission. This has been a wonderful call it is stretching us. We have had 1 month to learn Spanish and get our financial affairs in order plus we did not get released from our last mission till February 28th, 2015. But it is a great blessing to serve in a foreign country and also to serve with the greatest companion of your life, your eternal companion. We have sold 2 houses and down sized to a 1100sq ft condo just for this purpose so that we can just lock the door and go serve our Lord and Savior for 23 months. The last 2 weeks before we leave for the MTC we are with family, which is also a great blessing.
