Hi I'm Lesley Cameron

I am me. No claim to fame. Just an ordinary girl with an ordinary life.

About Me

It's an interesting thing to have to write something about yourself... my mind always goes blank and I wonder what I do in my life which could possibly be of interest to anyone else! I am a Workplace Trainer and on the side, I design and have developed educational games for kids. These are still a work in progress.. much like me I suppose! :) I am a mother and grandmother. To date I have 9 beautiful grandchildren and 2 on the way.. and hopefully many more to come! More importantly, I am daughter of God and I know He watches over me every day.

Why I am a Mormon

Personally.... it is because it has taught me to stand, to live each day, to love my children and treat them with respect. It is because it gave me the knowledge of a Father in Heaven who loves me and has time for me. It is because it taught me I am important and I am part of a plan. It is because it taught me the purpose of life and gave me a reason to want to become a better person. It is because it is not a Sunday religion, it is a lifestyle and a family and a place where I can make a difference. It is because it taught me being a woman today is vital and gave me the confidence to hold my head high in a world where it seems respect is scarce. I became a Mormon because I thought it was the right thing to do, I am still a Mormon because I KNOW there is no other way I would choose to live my life.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? One day at a time... hopefully making as many moments count as possible. It is one thing to HAVE faith... it is another to live your life in such a way there is evidence of what you believe. The things people 'don't' see are the quiet moments where I take the time out to read the scriptures, ponder life and spend time in prayer. Without those quiet moments, it is difficult to grow in faith. The parts the people 'do' see... hopefully it is a pattern of living my life knowing no matter what happens, our Father in Heaven has the big picture in His sights and I just need to be brave enough to go with it. We can't control all which happens around us... however, we can find peace amidst the turmoils which come our way.
