Hi I'm Frank

I am an Author, Leadership Consultant, Speaker, Training Developer & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Husband and father. I have 4 amazing sons and 4 wonderful daughters-in-law/significant others and best of all I have 5 awesome grandkids. I work from home and my wife's cat Gracie is my BFF - she passed away this spring and I miss her desperately. I love the scriptures and books about leadership and personal growth. I love to paddle my canoe down rivers. I like a good laugh, good movies and good talks about the purpose of life. I enjoy helping others and serving my friends at church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church teaches correct principles and encorages me to govern myself. I was introduced to the Mormon Church by a high school friend. I found a very deep connection to God, an explaination of His Plan in this Church and I found my Savior here too. I am a Mormon because this Church answered my questions clearly and I was left to determine for myself if those answers were right for me. I am a Mormon becasue a core belief of Mormons is that of free agency, agency with responsibility. I am a Mormon because I gained my own personal conviction that the gospel taught here is meant for me. I am a Mormon because this Church constantly challenges me to grow, learn and progress and this process for doing life is deeply satisfying.

How I live my faith

By incorporating it into every aspect of my life, every day - my faith is about a way of life, more than a way of worship. I believe there are lessons to be learned when life goes well and when it doesn't. I believe there is a gift in every crisis to help me grow. I choose to live, I choose to be happy, I choose to be friendly, I choose to find joy in life, I choose to see the abundance, I choose to see the good in others, I choose to make the best of my situation, I choose to live as though I am eternal. I choose life.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Frank
Talk to Him. I guess we all have our own beliefs about God and prayer. Here are mine... I (Mormons) believe that God is our Heavenly Father, the father of our spirits before we came to this earth life. I also believe that He is a person and therefore I can speak to Him just as I might respectfully speak to anyone I know. When I pray (talk with Him) I imagine in my mind a living person who loves me and I spill it all to Him. I find the more honest I am with how I feel about things the closer I feel to Him and when I try to listen for His wisdom I get it every time. If you want to know Him - talk to Him and do it in all sencerity and openness. When you do you will come to feel something that is undeniable - you too will know you know that He is real, knows who you are and loves you deeply. Once I knew that my life was never to be the same again - talk to Him! Show more Show less
