Hi I'm Carolyn

I grew up in Idaho. I am married and have three wonderful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am working on finishing my bachelor's degree. I have always loved learning and education! When I was in college, my husband and I had our first child. After he was born, he began exhibiting some autistic tendencies, and I knew that for his sake, and also my sake, I needed to stay home and be his mother. I had to withdraw from college during my senior year, but I have never second-guessed my decision to do that. I always knew that being his mother was my first and most important job. My son's condition improved, thanks to a miracle and many blessings from the Lord, and twelve years later, I had the chance to go back to school and take classes to finish my degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon church. Many of my ancestors were Mormon pioneers, who crossed the plains to settle in Utah. I admire their strength and courage! Even though they were not wealthy people, my ancestors left me a rich pioneer heritage and religious tradition. I am grateful for their sacrifices. I love my faith because it brings me peace to know that Heavenly Father loves me, knows me personally, and hears and answers my prayers. He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to this earth to be my example and Savior. I love them! One thing that means a lot to me is knowing that we have a living prophet on the earth today, just like in Biblical times. Our prophet leads and guides us in ways that the Lord wants. It is a blessing to listen to his messages! I also love to read the Book of Mormon because it is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have loved to have the opportunity to teach in our church. I am currently helping teach an early-morning scripture study class to almost 20 high school students in our area. I LOVE working with them! Their faith and strength inspires me! Learning and being able to teach about the Savior also fortifies me and strengthens me every day. I have also had the opportunity to teach the women and children in our church. It has been an incredible blessing to learn the Gospel of our Savior and then share it with others through teaching.
