Hi I'm Fernando

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Panama City, Panama. I became a memeber of the church when I was 10 years old. My parents and some of my brothers and sisters are also converts to the Church. I married my wife in the Seattle Temple for time and all eternity. My oldest son is serving a mission in San Antonio, Texas. I am a Maintenance Engineer for St. Joseph's Medical Center and have worked there for 8 years. When I am not working, I spend all my time with my wife and sons, playing miniture golf, camping, going to movies, and spending visiting family.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the church and want my children to be raised with the values and truth that my parents raised me with. I received a testimony about the church and the Book of Mormon for Heavenly Father and want my family to receive that same blessing.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday with my wife and children and take the sacrament. My family reads the scriptures together every night and pray together as a family. I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ and live his commandments.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Fernando
I am frequently asked why "Mormons" don't drink coffee or alcohol, by my co-workers. We believe that the body is sacred and that alcohol, coffee, drugs, and tobacco polute the body and cause harmful effects to the body and mind. You can't live a Christ like life if you are not keeping yourself above those things that cause damage to yourself and those around you. Show more Show less
