Hi I'm Marci

I have 4 kids, a hard working husband and have gone back to college to finish my degree. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have 4 hilarious kids and a husband who taught them everything they know. As a family we have driven across the US many times and have seen 46 states. We love to travel! We look forward to any long weekend so we can "see something new." We hike, bike, camp, walk, fish, and play a variety of sports. We are a very close family and love coming up with new adventures. I have recently returned to college to finish my degree and am loving school. I also enjoy reading, writing, listening to music and playing the piano and guitar, (I'm not very good at either instrument, but find that playing is relaxing.) When I need peace I head straight to the shore. It serves a double purpose, the kids have fun and I get to relax. I enjoy a good thunder storm, especially the smell of the rain. I love horses, and like the way they smell. I find it endearing that my husband refuses to go to the same restaurant twice so we can experience something new everytime we go out. I LOVE family reunions and being with my friends. Movies are a wonderful way for our family to spend down time. I dislike winter because it's cold, and lookforward to spring when the birds come back after months of silence. I enjoy starting seeds from the different exotic fruit we buy and have a crazy assortment of fruit trees growing in my home.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon church by wonderful parents who taught me well, but when I was a teen I felt like I needed to know for myself if what I had been taught was true so I prayed to the Lord to ask Him, because I felt He was the most qualified, and the answer I got was, "you know its true." I have never had reason to question that answer. God is in everything. He loves us so much and does so many wonderful things for us. He comforts us, guides us, gives us opportunity after opportunity to change and be better people. He gave his son for us so we have the chance to repent. He made the earth that is so beautiful and amazing so we could find peace and happiness. He gave us commandments and scripture so we can learn what kind of people we should be so we don't have to live life full of regret and heartache. I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I know I am a precious daughter of God. I know He loves me. I know He has a plan for me, and if I live my life as He would have me live it I can see Him, my Heavenly Father, again when I die and I look forward to that. There is peace in living a righteous life, and I am happy I can learn and change and become a better person by living the teachings of this church. I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by working. If something is worth it, then it is worth working at. I work at being humble enough to know I am nothing without the Lord and need him in everything I do. I work to teach my children to have morals and virtue so they find value in themselves. I work at my marriage because I know that if Heavenly Father gave us a chance for families to be eternal then keeping my marriage intact is important. I work to better myself by going to school and gaining an education so I can serve other people and share the insights that I am learning. I work at being faithful and prayerful so I can be useful when the Lord needs someone to serve another. I work at being charitable so I do not judge wrongly. I work to create a better life for myself and my family.
