Hi I'm Seanette.

I'm a homemaker, bookworm, and crafts enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a pretty ordinary middle-aged homemaker. I enjoy reading, crafts, needlework, Sudoku, and Kakuro. I've been married since 1995, and while having children didn't happen for us, we've enjoyed being able to help out with others' children. We also have a cat and a bird, who we jokingly refer to as "the kids". :)

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that ranged from indifferent to religion to actively hostile toward faith. In my early 20s, I started developing an interest in the spiritual, and wound up in the more fundamentalist end of Protestant Christianity. After reading some anti-Mormon material my then-pastor recommended, I realized it just didn't really make sense. Around that time, I met a very nice older couple who were members and very patient with my questions about what I'd read. After a lot of reading and prayer, I realized the truth of the restored Gospel and very quickly joined the Church. While I was studying and taking the missionary lessons, I had an experience I understand is not uncommon: it didn't seem like I was getting new information, but being reminded of things I'd once known, but had forgotten. I haven't always been as active as I should have been, but have not since my investigation period had any doubt that this is in fact the true Church of Jesus Christ, led by a prophet of God and blessed with more of His Word than just the Bible.

How I live my faith

I'm actually struggling back from a rather inactive period right now. Past callings have included Primary (classes for young children) and occasionally teaching classes of adults.
