Hi I'm Chad

I'm a musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music! I love going to concerts, playing concerts, and checking out the latest band or musician. I play the guitar and sing.

Why I am a Mormon

Once I was able to realize that there had to be something more than just waking up and going to school or work, I knew I had to find out if what that "something" I was looking for was the church that I had been a member of my whole life. A few years ago President Hinckley challenged all the members of the church to read the Book of Mormon within six, or so months and pray about it to gain a stronger testimony, or in some cases gain a testimony at all. I decided I would do just as the prophet directed and read it and pray. I remember a few days before the end of the year I was on one of the last pages, so I stayed up a little bit later - until about midnight - and finished the final page in Moroni. As I had the opportunity to kneel down and pray, I knew that what I wanted was right here. There's no way to explain the peace that comes from the Spirit, and as I prayed, that overwhelming peace came, and I knew that this is all the truth. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ! We can all be ourselves and still come to know the truth and follow it. There's so much joy that I now find in living the gospel, and what's even better, I didn't have to give up things I love in order to do it.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon doesn't mean that we forget who we are, but it means that we find who we are. I am able to live my faith through my everyday activities. I live my faith right now by serving a mission in Houston.
