Hi I'm Will

I'm a Missionary, I'm love Michigan, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Just a little about me. I absolutely love to play sports such as basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, cross-country running, sprinting, hiking, camping, you name it, I like it. I just love to get out and move around. I don't mind sitting and messing around on the computer either. I love to do pretty much anything. Currently, I am working on a computer science degree at Brigham Young University.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason why I am a Mormon is because this Church has the truth. I don't say that just because I believe it but because I know it. I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I always believed it because that was what I was taught was right. I got baptized when I was 8 years old and I just remember the best feelings come over me and I was just so happy. Throughout my life I have seen the influence of God in my life. He is always there for you. Now, I am on a mission to help everyone come closer to Jesus Christ. I want people to feel the influence of God in their lives even more than they might already feel His influence. I want to make people happy by sharing the gospel with them. That is where my true Joy is. I think all the time about how people could live without the Gospel. It would be so hard for me if that were my case. I know that this is the true church and that Jesus Christ established His only true church on the earth roughly 2000 years ago. I know that the same church He organized then is now restored and brought back to the earth and that it was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that this is the truth and I mean that with all purpose of heart. I know that because God loves me and that he wouldn't tell me that this is the truth if it wasn't the truth. I say this and promise that this is the truth in the name of Jesus Christ, who is our savior and redeemer of the world, amen.

How I live my faith

Right now I am really busy. I have so much going on in my life between my full-time job and school. I want to become like Christ so I try to adapt to a more Christ-like life. Everyday I try to carefully consider my situations. I try to control the outcome by being kind to others. I try to assess my problems before I react. I try to find God before I find hate. It has been a long road but I want nothing more than to be a pleasant person to be around. I am not really but I will hopefully be someday.

What is faith?

What is faith? That is a very good question which I have been asked several times during my time here in michigan. I even ask that question to several people trying to get their thoughts and opinions about faith. Usually the answer results in a belief in something that isn't seen. The Prophet Moroni goes into a little more detail in the Book of Mormon. In Ether chapter 12 verse 6 pg 509 in the Book of Mormon, Moroni is explaining and expounding on this very subject "...faith is things which are hoped for and not seen..." He explains that it is something that is hoped for and not seen. Faith is a hope for something to be true. An good example is those who are of a Christian faith. They all have a hope that Jesus Christ atoned or suffered for our sins and that we can obtain eternal life through Him. Moroni continues and says "...ye recieve no witness until after the trial of your faith." We can assume that because we recieve a witness after the trial of faith, we recieve some sort of result because of our faith. So when we talk about faith, we understand that it is an action word. We must act somehow to recieve that witness. How can we recieve witnesses then? Well, we can show acts of faith by studying the scriptures like the Bible and the Book of Mormon, we can pray to our Father in Heaven, we can attend Church and worship there, we can share the gospel and talk to people about Jesus Christ. The list can go on and on. I know that this principal is essential to our understanding our purpose here on earth and that the Book of Mormon is true. How do I know the Book of Mormon is true? I recieved a witness. That witness came after my trials of faith.  Show more Show less
