Hi I'm Carol

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently working to receive my master's degree in mathematics education. I love to teach any subject but especially mathematics. I love to work with students one-on-one and see their confidence strengthen. I am the youngest of five children and family has always been the most important aspect of my life. My favorite memories are of laughing with my siblings. I have 6 (7th on the way) nieces and nephews. I love to be with them and learn from them. Children have a unique and beautiful view of the world. I have an older sister who is mentally and physically handicapped. She is my best friend. I believe having her in our family has made us the loving and supportive family that we are.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in Christ. there are many days that He is the reason and the power behind me getting out of bed in the morning. He is the Savior of us all. In this great, infinite gift, the love of God is manifest, as seen in the following scripture from 1 John 4. "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might alive through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." It seems like I have always been able to feel the Love of God. I am so grateful for the gifts He has given me. One of the greatest gifts is a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe that His gospel is fully contained in the doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon church). I know that God lives and that He loves us. He has made everything available to help us return to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that God has a plan for our families to be together forever. I am so grateful for that knowledge. It has changed me and strengthened me beyond measure.

How I live my faith

In the church, I am working to help others research and learn more about their ancestors. Family History is very important to me. Because our doctrine declares exaltation for our families through covenants, such as baptisms and marriages, it is also a great blessing to be able to perform these covenants on behalf of our ancestors. That is why it is so important to find their information and learn more about them.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

When one is truly converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ, it's hard to keep it to yourself. We've all experienced wanting to tell everyone we meet about something exciting or wonderful in our lives. For members of the church, and especially missionaries, proselyting is their chance to tell the world the gospel, their "good news". It is not simply a religious duty, but it is an inherit yearning when one is converted. We want others to feel the joy and love of God that we have felt. The main reason I believe Mormon missionaries proselyte is out of love - Love for their God and love for other people. Show more Show less
