Hi I'm Kathia

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

HI! My name is Kathia and I am currently in my third year of college. As of right now I am working on my bachelors degree in kinesiology in the hopes of one day becoming a physical therapist.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, ever since I could remember I had always attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. So, I guess you could say I was born into the church. However, just because I was born into the church didn't necessarily mean I HAD to be a member of the church. Anyway, I decided to get baptized at the age of eight, I know pretty big decision at a young age, and I do not regret it one bit. How do I know I made the right decision? When I was in high school I was invited by my friends to go to their church. As any curious teenager I said "Sure. Why not?" I went and to be honest it really didn't feel right. Yeah, it was a really nice church and the people were great, but it felt as if they were preaching just to preach instead of teaching the gospel of Christ. That's when I knew I had made the right decision. To this day it still amazes the amount blessings that Heavenly Father has given me and all the things he promises us when we follow his commandments. The gospel really does bring happiness to my life and it just really feels right. It truly is amazing the amount of love that Heavenly Father has for us regardless of our imperfections and I am just eternally grateful to be a part of that.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping the Lord's commandments as best as I can. I know that if we pray diligently the Lord will bless us and keep His promises. One of my favorite scriptures is D&C 10:5 "Pray always, that you may come off conqueror; yea, that you may conquer Satan, and that you may cescape the hands of the servants of Satan that do uphold his work." I can testify that praying really does work and it really has helped my out in the best and worst of times.
