Hi I'm Amber

I was born and raised in Texas. I have been married 10 yrs and have 4 children.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Marriage, Family, Human Development. I love to play the piano, sing, bake yummy things, make beautiful things for my children and home, read and watch movies. As a family, we love to watch movies, go on bike rides and play games. It's a busy life with 4 young children, but I feel so blessed to be their mom.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised my sisters and I in the Mormon church. They taught me many wonderful things. The day came, however, when I was a teenager that I felt like I had to know for myself if the church was true. I read the Book of Mormon entirely over a space of a few months. I then prayed to Heavenly Father to know if it was true or not. I listened intently to hear an answer. My answer were not words spoken, or fireworks in the sky. Instead, it was a comfort and joy that spoke to my heart. I felt like God had been letting me know for many years that the church was true by small and simple things. I love being a Mormon. It teaches me to be happy. To follow Jesus Christ and to be like Him. I feel so much joy knowing that my family can be together forever one day if we follow the teachings of the Savior. I'm not perfect, but through Christ's atonement I can repent and become more like Him.

How I live my faith

I attend church each Sunday for 3 hrs. I plan and organize the music for our sacrament meetings. I love music and feel it's one of the best way to feel God's spirit in our lives. I also visit a few women from church each month to share a gospel lesson and talk. I have made some wonderful friendships over the years by doing this and I love it.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

We believe that God revealed to us that drinking coffee, tea, and alcohol and smoking/doing drugs are ultimately harmful for our bodies. We abstain from things that are addictive and are destructive to our bodies. We try to eat a well balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, grains and meat. Getting proper rest is also important for our bodies to be healthy. Show more Show less
