Hi I'm Melissa

I'm a performer. I'm a director. I'm a dreamer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have many different interests, including singing, dancing, music, and theatre. I have performed in community theatre for many years. Some shows I've participated in are Fiddler on the Roof, Hello Dolly!, The King and I, The Wizard of Oz, Wonderful Town, White Christmas, Footloose, Pirates of Penzance...Goes West!, and Annie. I love performing because I want to be able to reach out to others and bring something good to everyone. I hope also to be a good example to others and be inspiring. Right now I am waiting to be accepted to school to finish my bachelor's degree. I will be working on getting my degree in Communications with an emphasis in video editing/production. I love to make fun videos that allow me to express myself and my feelings. I love movies too. My most recent favorite movie right now is Megamind. It was so funny and I really enjoyed the idea of having the "bad guy" really be someone who always wanted to be good, and finally find who he really is. Other favorites are Enchanted, Mulan, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, The Lord of the Rings, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Tangled.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a Mormon family and taught the truths of the gospel since I was little. But even then I still had to find out for myself if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's true church. Throughout my life and especially through my trials, I have been blessed to see God's love for me in all things, and always know that He is there.

How I live my faith

My calling in my ward is the Ward Music Director. I pick out hymns to sing in Sacrament Meeting, lead the music, coordinate special musical numbers, and oversee all the things pertaining to music in the ward. Like I said earlier, I participate in community theatre. I love sharing my talents with others and providing good, family friendly entertainment.
