Hi I'm Karen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife. I am a mother of five daughters. I am a grandmother of 11 grandchildren, six grandsons and five granddaughters. My family is the joy of my life. I love to quilt, read, running 5k races, going on trips with my family, jumping on the trampoline with my grandchildren. I love seeing happiness in the faces of my family. I enjoy discovering new things with my family. I am a friend. I enjoy going to lunch with friends and talking about the world, family, education and life in general. I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My ancestors were part of the early converts to the church and Mormon pioneers that travelled by wagon train west to settle in Utah. As I study about their lives, I can feel their devotion to the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I continue their legacy as an active and faithful member of the church. I have a strong testimony that God lives and Jesus is the Christ and that Christ atoned for our sins. It is through that atonement that we can be saved after all we can do by being obedient to God's commandments. I believe that the priesthood has been restored to the earth. I believe there is a living prophet and apostles with whom the Lord speaks to guide His church today. I believe the Bible to be the word of God and I believe the Book of Mormon to be another testament of Jesus Christ. I believe by studying the Book of Mormon and the Bible together we can become closer to Jesus Christ and His teachings. I am grateful for the knowledge that families can be eternal through the ordinances that are performed in the temple. I have a strong testimony and faith in my Savior and that He is at the head of His church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Church is True!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching others about our Savior Jesus Christ and about the good news of the gospel that is so dear to my heart. I love people and want others to enjoy the blessings of the gospel. I have taught the young children to the women of the church. I have helped organize events for the teenagers of the church in our town. I have invited many to our home for gatherings to strengthen and unify our neighborhood.
