Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a Patriot & a future sport journalist I'm T-Monie & I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Tyler. I am 21 years old, currently living in the great Northwest, USA! I have been here for a year and a half, but I love it. I was born in raised in the wonderful Keystone State, Pennsylvania, and I am proud of it. I have been blessed to have wonderful parents who raised me and my two younger sisters. I plan on attending college next fall and and super excited about all of the fun times that are ahead of me. I plan on doing whatever I can in college, to become a sports journalist. I absolutely love sports! I played soccer, basketball, and baseball growing up, but I also enjoy football, hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, golf, tennis, and much more. In high school I found myself constantly writing on blogs about the high school football and basketball teams. Many people have told me that they agreed with what I had to say, which gave me confidence. This is why I want to turn a passion into a career. I have been blessed to have written for an online magazine about high school sports and have made wonderful friends. All of my friends are wonderful! I try to look at people from a different perspective and find the good in them, which I always do. I also like to go camping in the summer and visiting the beach with my family. I am proud to say, that I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and though sometimes I didn't enjoy it, most of the time I loved what I was getting out of church. Going to youth activities and being around the people is what kept me strong spiritually. I believe strongly that while we are in the presence of others, we are the happiest. That is why I've chosen to serve a mission, in the Oregon Portland Mission. Things are great on a mission and I could never put a pricetag on my mission expirience. I can boldly say that I've come to know my Savior while serving a mission and I am proud to say that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints!

How I live my faith

I used to think that the word "faith" was simply synonymous for the word "belief." I have come to recognize the true meaning of faith. Faith is an action. The way I live my faith is through service. What used to be a burden in the teenage years has become a blessing in recent years. I was very much involved in service throughout high school, serving countless hours at a local Boys & Girls Club. While there, I learned about the hard struggles that inner-city youth face day in and day out. I also received the honor of Eagle Scout, from the Boy Scouts of America, which was a long, tiring, stressful, but beneficial act of service. I helped construct a pit for my high school's baseball team, which would hold the sand for the pitcher's mound, and the infield. I also have served in the church. Today, I am a called to serve and teach people about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I find that the more people I share my beliefs with, the more joy I find. Living my faith has been a huge part of my life and I want others to recognize and respond to the example I am try to set in the same way!
