Hi I'm David

I'm on my mission. I love the Guitar, the smell of grass, and chocolate chip cookies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Mexico City, Mexico, but I have grown up in West Valley, Utah. I love sports especially when I am terrible at them because it just gives me another reason to laugh. I grew up with volleyball and wrestling. I play the guitar so I LOVE music. Love to sing... a lot. I was born in the church but my parents are converts. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. Realizing how much love he has for me and for each and everyone of us is something that took a while for me to understand, and I don't yet understand it completely, but I have seen many miracles and witnesses in my life that have changed who I am. I am grateful for my family and all the support they have given me. I know without a shadow of a doubt that Christ lives and his Gospel has been restored on the Earth once more for all to be blessed by it. This is why I am currently on my mission in Idaho Pocatello Mission and I am loving it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I choose to be. I grew up in the church, but Heavenly Father knows that there must come a time where we must choose to follow Him. It's through the miracles and also the trials that I have come to realize that this Gospel brings happiness that lasts! It's helped me understand that I am not perfect and I make a lot of mistakes, but we are given opportunities to learn and grow from those mistakes if we will turn to the Lord. We are children of God, and because of that we can be sure that we are never alone. He loves us beyond our comprehension. His "joy is full because of [our] faith", 3 Nephi 17:20.

How I live my faith

I love to give service. There is just something about coming home tired knowing that you helped someone out that day that just really keeps me going. The Savior has done a lot for me, and because of his Atonement I know I can grow to develop his attributes. Sometimes all I can do is just be an example. I love the Gospel and strive to be an instrument to help others learn about it.

What is faith?

Faith is not a perfect knowledge. It is a perfect hope for things and blessings that we can recieve as we act and do the things the Lord has asked us to do. When we have faith we have to show it. Faith alone cannot bring forth the blessings we desire. It is the works that we do because of faith that does this. (James 2:17-18) Show more Show less
