Hi I'm Amy

I struggle, I triumph, I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm the mother of five boys and the wife of a school teacher. Life isn't easy. But there are good times, hard times and great times. It all just depends on how you look at it. Sometimes you just have to laugh or you'll cry. And sometimes you cry because everything is so great. My hope is that I'll raise these boys to become good, kind, sucessful men. And when they are gone, it'll be my turn to do whatever I want to...I can't wait.

Why I am a Mormon

Because my great-great grandparents sacrificed everything they knew and had, to come to this country on packed, diseased, storm-tossed ships, walked or pushed handcarts across the plains in bitter winters, lost children or husbands, and they never wavered in their Faith in Jesus Christ. All their trials only made their faith stronger. I am thankful for their sacrifices to follow their faith and to pass down their strength to me. I hope to pass that faith to my sons so that they will know how to be happy and how to find the answers to their questions.

How I live my faith

If I wasn't already surrounded by them, I also teach 8-10 year-old boys as a Wolf and Bear Den Leader in the Boy Scouts of America. I love to watch them learn new things and to get their awards. And who can't get excited with them as they race their Pinewood Derby cars down the track!

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Amy
I am always learning about all the things we can get from the Holy Ghost. He can send away fear and replace it with a burning peace. He can give us answers to our questions about anything. He is always there, but He is hard to hear when we are surrounded by the noise and crazyness of our lives. But most of all He is how we receive almost everything that our Heavenly Father wants to send us. But we have to open up our hearts and our minds to receive them. Show more Show less
