Hi I'm alex

I was born in the wind and snow, of the fertile mountains of Idaho. So obviously I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm from a family of 4 kids, me being the youngest of all boys. I grew up in Idaho playing sports and loving the outdoors. I love to skateboard, wake board, long board, snowboard and spend most of the winters hitting up the slopes and riding through fresh powder. I ended up going to a year of college there, and decided that i wanted to share what i believe with people around the world.

Why I am a Mormon

i grew up in a family that was already members of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. grateful for them. Although I grew up going to this church and following the teachings taught in it, crossroads come decisions need to be made. Was this the church God wanted me to be a part of? Do these teachings really seem to come from God or just a 14 yr old boy. So like most people who have come to the realization that this church is true i did also, through prayer and study of the scriptures. Which is far-fetched to some people, and following Christ teachings also help me realize i was in the right place. Following these teachings help me realize that the scripture in john telling us to try his doctrine and see if it is of god or whether Christ was speaking of himself. By their fruits ye shall know them. Does not smoking make me a bad person? how about donating 10 percent of my income to charity? It helped me know that happiness comes from living gods commandments. That by serving god this way, we can be closer to him. Try his teachings, follow his foot steps, act more like him, and see if you aren't happier then before.

How I live my faith

Reading the scriptures is one way that i live my faith by learning about how others solved their problems using the gospel of Jesus Christ, but reading or praying isn't everything. Practicing what we preach is huge. Why read about prophets and apostles, and God's teachings if we aren't going to follow them. "if ye believe all these things, see that ye do them." Its evident of what someone believes by how they act. Sharing it with others

What is being a Mormon like?

i assume it is just like the members of christ church felt way before us. Sometimes they were hated, sometimes repescted, mocked, liked, ignored, reverenced as teachers. In all cases they still knew they had the truth, which is true joy, as do i which is all that matters. Show more Show less
