Hi I'm Erica

I grew up in Arizona, laughing is my hobby, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am just your typical average girl that's trying to make the best of life. I'm currently going to school to be a speech therapist. I love everything about speech and I'm kind of a grammar nerd! My hobbies include anything that involves music and fun. I play the piano and harp, I love to sing, and I love just jammin out in the car to the radio. I love to have fun and laugh so hard that it hurts and I start to cry....there's nothing better in my opinion. I also love to spend time with my family. We're kinda crazy and disfunctional but we love each other and love to have fun together.

Why I am a Mormon

I served a mission in Colorado and often a lot of people would ask me this question and consequently a lot of those people held the opinion that I was a blind follower because I was raised in this church. While it's true that I was raised with these beliefs and ideals, I can whole-heartedly say that I know with every fiber of my being that this is God's church and that He guides and directs His church today through a living prophet just like he did in the Bible. This may seem like a HUGE claim and it is but I know it's true because I have read the Book of Mormon, I've prayed about it, and I received a witness from the holy spirit that it is true. This gospel, the plan that God has for us, has changed my life and helped me to find greater peace and greater happiness even amidst all the yuckiness of life. God has so much more to offer us and I've found that to be true in my own life now and I have greater hopes that things can be even better after this life.

How I live my faith

I find that it's through the small and simple things that I live my faith. I try to think, speak, and act in a way that if the Savior was standing next to me, He would be proud of me. Whether it's smiling at a stranger or letting someone go ahead of me in the grocery line at the grocery store, I want others to come to know Christ because they know me. I strengthen and renew my faith by regularly attending my church meetings and creating friendships there where I can be strengthened and I can help strengthen others in their faith.
