Hi I'm Mike D

Im a missionary in the IPM. Im a Mormon

About Me

Hi my name is Mike. I am 21 years old and currently on a Mission in the Idaho Pocatello Mission IPM. I have been here for along time now. I have been in Idaho Falls, St. Anthony, and now Pocatello. I love sports, especally football and snowboarding. I grew up in TX and went to school and played football in CO before my mission. I love punk rock music, and the Boston Celtics. Out of all these things I love, I love my Heavenly Father and this Gospel even more.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been in the Church since the beginning. My grandmothers ancestors came across the plains with the pioneers. So I was born and raised in the Church. I have decided to continue with following the Church because life is so much better this way. Growing up in a low LDS populated area I have seen so many situations where I thought "If only they knew, if only they understood that life doesnt have to be this way." The church has given me so much direction and guidence is my life. I know that this is the one and only true Church on the Earth. The only way back to our Father in Heaven is on the straight and narrow path that this Gospel sets forth. I know that God lives, not lived, that he speaks not spake.

How I live my faith

I am a Missionary right now so every thought, every action, every aspect of my life is focused on the Church. I spend all day, every day teaching people about what we believe, and what we know. About how we can have more peace and harmony in our lives, how we can grow Closer to God and how we can return to live with him with our families together forever.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Mike D
Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. He is the only begotten of our Father in Heaven and through him is our only way back. This is the focus of our message. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Mike D
"Faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things, but to hope for things which are not seen which are true." Alma 3210. Faith is central to everything. It is the first principle and ordiance of the Gospel. Without faith we have nothing. To have faith means to believe in something we cannot see, hear, feel, touch, smell or otherwise recieve a perfect knowledge of it through our physical bodies. By our faith and our works we will learn the truth of all things by the power of the Holy Ghost. Thats how our faith is reassured. Faith is a trust in God and relieing on him to provide for you in all aspects of your life. Show more Show less
