Hi I'm Jordan

I love huntin and playin sports. I am a full time missionary in the Fortworth Texas Mission. And I'm a mormon

About Me

Hello I am Elder Lundell. I am currently serving a mission in Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised up a mormon by good parrents who taught me the morals of the church and instilled them in me from child hood. And i have now seen the blessings that come from having a modern day prophet on the earth and having the book of mormon in my life and i strive everyday to have the spirit reconfirm to me the truthfulness of the message that i am out sharing with everyone.

How I live my faith

I try to set an example to everyone that i see. And when possible lighten up there day and try to get them to smile. I love to talk about the church in all situations. I think that being honest with people helps them gain trust and see the good in the church.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Jordan
We believe that it is through grace that we are saved after all that we can do 2 nephi 2523. We know that we need to have faith in the lord in order to be saved And in James chapter two it tells us that faith without works is dead. Therefore we need to do things that strengthen our faith in the Lord such as reading and praying and whatever else the Lord has comanded us to do. And in mathew 721 it says not all who say unto me Lord Lord shall inherit the kingdom of heaven but him that doeth the will of he Father. In Hebrews59 it says that Christ became the author of our salvation unto all that obey him. In John 1415 it says that if we love God we will keep his comandments. And one of my favorite scriptures that describes the process that takes place when we humble our selves and show our faith unto the Lord, it is found in Moroni 1032-33. The best analogy that I have heard is that it is like you are a person drowning in a river and you don't know how to swim and Jesus Christ comes over to the shore of the river and holds out a rod to grab onto so that you can be saved from drowning. But it is up to you you have to put forth that effort to grab the rod which is symobolic of the grace of christ. And it is not the fact that you reached out for the rod that saved you it is still the rod. Show more Show less
