Hi I'm Steven.

I'm a Mormon, and I love Yosemite.

About Me

I have lived in Southern California all my life. My wife and children and grandchildren are my greatest joys. I love the outdoors, having served as a scoutmaster while my boys were in the program. I still look forward to backpacking in Yosemite almost every year. I served a two year church mission in Argentina and have a great love for Argentina and the Argentine people. My dental practice gives me the freedom to serve in the church and spend time with my family. I love this country and the freedoms we enjoy.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives me the confidence and strength and peace to know that the path that I have chosen is pleasing to my Heavenly Father. We live in a world that is increasingly more unstable. I am grateful that the Lord has provided me with the tools and knowledge to help my family navigate through this difficult time.

How I live my faith

My father and mother taught me by word and deed the truth found in the words of a prophet of God who preached that 'when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God'. I have always felt a deep gratitude for the blessings I have received throughout my life from God. Therefore I have tried to repay Him in some small way by living my life in a manner that would be consistent with his mind and will. I think my tenure as a scoutmaster has been the greatest source of satisfaction in my church service. I was able to work with some wonderful young men, enjoy the creations of our Father in Heaven and spend a great deal of time with my own three sons. The Church has been instrumental in providing me with so many opportunities to learn and grow and become a better person.
