Hi I'm Maralee

I am a proud mother of six. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Alberta, Canada, in a small farming community, and haven't moved too far from "home" in the last 40 years. I have six beautiful children and the best husband in the world. I have been so lucky to be able to stay at home with our children as they have grown. I love to garden, quilt and research family history, but I really don't like cooking. It's good that I get hungry, or I'm sure my family would've starved by now! I also love music, especially the violin.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to wonderful Latter-Day Saint parents who's example and love helped me to gain my own testimony that the church is true when I was a girl. Many experiences since then have confirmed to me that God lives, and Jesus Christ is His Son.

How I live my faith

Though it is a struggle, I try hard every day to love my family as the Savior would. Being a mother of six is challenging, but when I am striving to be Christ- like in my relationships, I feel so much happiness, peace, and strength. I love to find ways to serve others who are in need, or just need cheering up. When the Savior walked the earth, he went about doing good, lifting burdens. I hope that I can do the same. I read scriptures and pray every day so that I can have His guidance through the Holy Ghost.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Maralee
My husband and I were married in a temple where, through priesthood authority, we were joined for this life, and in the life to come, in an ordinance called sealing. We believe that in the next life, our relationships will continue. We will have our children, our cherished family connections, forever if we are worthy. This I know to be true. Show more Show less
