Hi I'm Trent

I am a college student, I play baseball, and I am married.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah and currently live in Nevada. I am a huge sports fan. I love baseball and the New York Yankees. I am a college student. I am majoring in Communication and minoring in Physical Education. I also play baseball at the University. I served an LDS (Mormon) mission in Finland. On August 12, 2010 I was married to my beautiful wife for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family, however I received a personal testimony that we have a living prophet on the earth today and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I received that testimony when the Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley challenged the church members to read the Book of Mormon cover to cover before the end of the year. He promised us that we would notice a greater peace enter into our lives and we would come closer to Christ and feel of His love. I took the prophet's challenge to heart. I was only seventeen at the time and throughout the year i felt the peace and love that the prophet was talking about and I received a testimony that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Jesus Christ is our Savior and through him all things are possible.

How I live my faith

I served an LDS mission in Finland for two years teaching the Finnish people about Christ and inviting them to come closer to him through prayer and reading the Book of Mormon. Right now I serve in the area where I attend the Mormon church as a Mission Leader. I help the missionaries (the young guys on bikes, white shirts and ties) with the work in the area. Ultimately we help people come unto Christ through faith in Him, repentance, and baptism. Lastly I try to live the gospel of Jesus Christ to its fullest. I believe actions speak louder than words so for me living my faith by example helps others see how important it is to me, especially at school and definitely on the baseball field.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes Mormons are Christians. We believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. They are three separate beings. The Father and the Son have bodies of flesh and bone and the Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit without flesh and bone. The Son or Jesus Christ is the center of our faith that is one of the reasons why we are called "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints." Show more Show less

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

No we do not practice polygamy. When the church was first restored in 1830 and leading up to 1890 polygamy was practiced. In 1890 the Prophet of the church received revelation that plural marriages within the church needed to stop or else the Mormon church would lose what it had. Plural Marriages were also deemed unconstitutional and as Mormons we strongly believe in keeping and obeying the laws of the land. Show more Show less
