Hi I'm Jake

I love all sports especially basketball and surfing. I'm a husband, father, chemical engineer, company executive, and a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in California most of my life and I have enjoyed being able to surf, snorkel, snowboard, and wake board without ever having to go far from home. I am married and have two great kids. I have a degree in chemical engineering and work as the Chief Technical Officer of a young but quickly growing clean-tech chemical company. I love all sports though I most enjoy playing basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had a testimony of the truthfulness of the church and the Book of Mormon from a very young age. When I was a boy I was taught that if I wanted to know wether or not the Book of Mormon was true that I should ask God for myself. I still remember my innocent prayer and the peaceful feeling I received as a response. I grew up with a desire to serve a mission and share the joy of the gospel with others. At nineteen I served a mission in Maracaibo Venezuela. I shared the principles I had learned at church with others and saw many lives blessed. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Jesus Christ's church. I know that God knows and loves all of us.

How I live my faith

I currently serve the men in the church and help provide support to the families in our community. I enjoy getting to know others and I love making new friends.
