Hi I'm Tahnee

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I feel like I'm the luckiest girl alive! I have a wonderful husband who loves and cares for me, I recently gave birth to a gorgeous little girl who, in my opinion, is the best gift a girl could receive, I have the best family and friends, and I belong to a church that has shaped my life in a good way. I love to travel and see the sights of the world, and our own beautiful country. If only money grew on trees so I could see more! I love going on walks in pretty places (especially on warm summer nights), being with the people I love, and am quite the fan of black forest chocolate! I would say that I am a happy person. And I know why. This is what I want to share with you today...

Why I am a Mormon

I could make a list that would reach the moon to answer this question! But like I said above, I am a happy person and I know this is because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has allowed me to find this happiness. I know that Heavenly Father intended for us to be happy in this life. This is why he has given us nature, family and friends. These are all things we can find joy in. As I grow closer to my Heavenly Father through prayer, reading his scriptures, and serving others, I feel as though my life makes sense. I understand that I'm here on earth to make a difference, even if it is only to a few people. This keeps me going in my every day life. Trust me, my life isn't all sunshine and rainbows.. I have my fair share of challenges just like anyone does. But knowing that I am here for a reason and headed somewhere worth it at the end of this life keeps me pushing through. This knowledge that the church gives me is just a few of the reasons why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

As I devote my life to living how a true Christian should, I try my best to do this all the time, not just when it's convenient. At church I am responsible for activities for the 8-11 year old girls that teach them that they are children of God. They are the cutest things and so bright and willing to learn. They make me want to be more like them! I enjoy sharing with them things that I know to be true.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tithing is an amount of money that we give to the church. This is 10% of our income. This may seem like a lot to some people, but look at it in this light... Where did this money come from? Probably from your job. But this job was given to you from God so that you can live. I pay tithing because I know that my money is originally from Him. So why shouldn't I give him just 10% back? That's the least I can do for all He has given me! So with this money the church enriches others. It is used for building temples, churches, schools. It is also used for humanitarian purposes (like when natural disasters hit countries), and many other important causes. Show more Show less
